Isabella Bank Announces Promotion of Dee Powell to Company Officer

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. July 9, 2026 - Isabella Bank Chief Operations Officer Erika Ross announced the promotion of Dee Powell to bank officer. Powell serves as a project manager and is based at the bank’s main office in downtown Mount Pleasant.

As project manager, Powell is responsible for managing the Bank’s project portfolio while supporting project owners. Her role ensures projects align with the Bank’s mission and follow a comprehensive process that supports safety and soundness.

“Powell has served Isabella Bank for more than a decade in a variety of roles,” Ross said. “Her diverse background has prepared her with the expertise needed to manage projects as we continue to advance the Bank’s mission. This is a well-deserved promotion.”

Powell joined Isabella Bank in 2013 as a teller and was later promoted to supervisor and branch manager of the Remus branch. She transitioned to the operations team as digital banking manager before becoming project manager. Powell earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from Central Michigan University. She is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership program, Leadership Mecosta, and the Michigan Bankers Association’s Perry Schools of Banking.

Community service is important to Powell. She volunteers with organizations including Junior Achievement, where she teaches financial literacy to area youth, and Special Olympics Michigan. She also serves as vice president of the Remus Area Downtown Development Authority and volunteers with the annual Remus Heritage Days Festival, God’s Helping Hands, and St. Michael Catholic Church and School.

Powell was born and raised in central Michigan. She now lives in Blanchard with her husband, Chris, and their three children, Croix, Daisy, and Demi. The Powell family enjoys outdoor activities, sports, friendly competition, and spending time together.
