Business Counseling

The one-stop-shop for small businesses is the Small Business Development Center (Mid Michigan Region). SBDC provides consulting, training, and research to help small businesses to launch, grow, transition and innovate in the central Michigan region.

Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (MPACVB) or Meet Mt. Pleasant, is the destination marketing and management organization for Isabella County to the rest of the state and nation. MPACVB promotes the entire area through events, attractions, meetings, golf and sports groups. Make sure to check them out to learn about how they are advocating for tourism in our area!

Licenses & Permits

Both the City of Mt. Pleasant and the Charter Township of Union reside in Isabella County, so depending on where your business is located could dictate how many community entities you will be working with. Both Charter Township of Union and Isabella County provide comprehensive resources on requests for proposals and bids, the Register of Deeds, and how to start a business in our region!
