Isabella Bank Announces Promotion of Deb Markley to Regional Vice President

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. July 9, 2026 - Brian Goward, south region president of Isabella Bank, announced the promotion of Deb Markley to regional vice president.

In her role as regional branch manager, Markley oversees operations for Isabella Bank's south region branches and provides leadership and support to branch teams throughout the region.

“Deb has worked extremely hard for this well-deserved promotion,” Goward said. “With nearly 40 years of community banking experience, she brings tremendous knowledge, leadership, and dedication to our team. She is a valuable asset to the south region and to Isabella Bank as a whole.”

Markley brings 37 years of community banking experience to her role. She began her banking career as a high school co-op student and has served in a variety of positions throughout her career, including executive secretary, receptionist, customer service representative, consumer lender, and operations manager. She is a graduate of the Michigan Bankers Association’s Perry Schools of Banking and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Program.

Markley values opportunities to support the communities Isabella Bank serves. For the past seven years, she has volunteered at the Gratiot County Baby Pantry and regularly lends her time to local community events and initiatives.

Markley lives in Breckenridge with her husband, Steve. They have two sons, Jarrett and Jonathon.
