In Mount Pleasant, Modern Mechanics story started more than 70 years ago as a small tire shop serving local drivers. Mount Pleasant Tire was their first location, built on integrity, quality workmanship, and relationships that lasted decades. At its core, not much has changed.

In the early 1960s, they established their headquarters in Alma, where the Alma Tire name really took hold. Growth followed consistency. They focused on doing the work the right way, putting money back into the shop floor, investing in their people, and earning the kind of trust that brings families back year after year.

Today, Modern Mechanics carries that foundation forward across Mid-Michigan, including recently added locations in Midland and Lansing. They handle the work most drivers rely on every day—tire service, oil changes and preventive maintenance, brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, alignments, and heating and A/C service.
