Wildfire Credit Union Secures FHLBank Indianapolis Small Business Grants for El Acapulco Tamales, Higher Standards Automotive
Saginaw, MI – [April 2, 2026] – Wildfire Credit Union has successfully assisted two of its small business members in securing Elevate Small Business Grants through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. The two businesses—El Acapulco Tamales LLC and Higher Standards Automotive—each received a $10,000 grant to support improvements to their respective organizations.
The Elevate Small Business Grant program, administered annually by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, is designed to support the growth and development of small businesses throughout the northern Midwest region. Grant funds may be used for training, professional development opportunities, technological enhancements, new or upgraded equipment, and other operational investments.
El Acapulco Tamales LLC is a Mexican food processing facility specializing in the production of hot and mild tamales for distribution to grocery stores and restaurants throughout Michigan. The family-owned business has been operating since 1981. With its Elevate Small Business Grant, El Acapulco Tamales will enhance its operations by having a built-in cooler installed to facilitate distribution of their products.
Higher Standards Automotive is an AutoValue auto parts retailer and service provider that has served the Midland community since 2021. Its customer base includes auto repair shops, car enthusiasts, individual vehicle owners, lawn care professionals, and more throughout the greater Midland area. The grant will enable Higher Standards Automotive to expand and diversify its offerings to meet growing demand for outdoor equipment while continuing to support its core automotive services.
