MyMichigan Medical Centers Earn National Honors for Nursing Residency Programs

MIDLAND, Mich. – MyMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Clare, Midland and Mt.  Pleasant have received their third consecutive accreditation for the Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

The accreditation recognizes nursing residency programs that meet global standards for supporting nurses as they transition into new practice settings. Achieving this milestone for a third consecutive cycle reflects MyMichigan Health’s continued investment in workforce development, clinical excellence and long-term nursing success.

The ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® sets the benchmark for residency and fellowship programs that help registered nurses transition into new practice settings. Through evidence-based curriculum and support structures, PTAP-accredited programs help nurses move from the classroom to the bedside with confidence.

MyMichigan Health’s nurse residency program is designed to support nurses transitioning into these roles.
