Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce Calls for Nominations Ahead of 70th Annual Awards Banquet
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from the community for several awards to be presented during the 70th Annual Awards Banquet. First held in 1957, the Annual Awards Banquet is a night of celebration that recognizes outstanding businesses, community leaders, and volunteers who have demonstrated a commitment to strengthening the Mt. Pleasant area.
The evening’s highest honor, the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award, recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the Mt. Pleasant community through service, leadership, and dedication. The recipient’s identity remains a surprise until the award is presented during the banquet. In addition to the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award, the Chamber recognizes deserving businesses and community members through a variety of awards presented during the evening ceremony.

70th Annual Awards Banquet Public Nominations
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations from the community for the following awards:
The 70th Annual Awards Banquet will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2027, at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. The event will celebrate the individuals, businesses, and organizations whose contributions have helped strengthen the greater Mt. Pleasant community.
Submissions must be submitted online by Sunday, November 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
