Charter Township of Union, Priority Health, and National Fitness Campaign provide free fitness for everyone in Union Township
Mt. Pleasant, MI – August 20, 2026, Charter Township of Union, Priority Health, and National Fitness Campaign (NFC) , today announced a partnership to bring an outdoor Fitness Court® Studio and digital wellness programming to Union Township. The Fitness Court® Studio located at Jameson Park will open September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This Fitness Court® Studio was developed by Union Township, Priority Health, and NFC to expand free access to high-quality workouts and create equitable access to exercise for communities across the region. The Fitness Court® Studio is the world’s best outdoor gym that lets users leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven exercise stations.
Created for adults of all abilities aged 14+, the Fitness Court® workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace. Users also may download the free Fitness Court® App which acts as a coach-in-your-pocket and enhances the outdoor gym into a digitally supported wellness experience. Union Township is one of 30+ Campaign Partners building a network of Fitness Courts across the state, with the help of Priority Health.

The Union Township Fitness Court Studio also features original artwork by Andrea “Annie” Croft, a freelance illustrator, designer and educator based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Croft’s work explores themes of hope, growth and joy through the challenges and journeys of life, drawing inspiration from nature, human connection and the spirit of love within. She enjoys creating interactive artwork that goes beyond static viewing to engage people through multiple senses and bring communities together.
