Ribbon Cutting Request Form

Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce members can request Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for the following business events: 

  • Grand openings 

  • Large expansion or renovations 

  • New location(s) 

  • New ownership 

  • Groundbreakings 

  • Commemorative/milestone anniversaries (10, 25, 50 years) 

  • And more--at no extra cost! 

Please fill out this form to request a date and time for your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

Once the form has been submitted, a Chamber staff member will reach out to your business to confirm the final details.

The Chamber provides the ribbon, big scissors, and a commemorative certificate. 

  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are scheduled for an estimated 60 minutes. The best times to host a Ribbon Cutting are 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, or 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, or 11:00 am and 12:00 pm on Fridays. 

  • It is best to schedule your ribbon cutting event 3-8 weeks in advance to ensure the date you want is available.* 

    • *Please note: The time and date that you select for your ribbon cutting should be done in tandem with the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce so a mutually beneficial date and time can be agreed upon. After this form is completed, please wait to advertise your event until your business and the Chamber have discussed and agreed on the proposed date and time.
