Isabella County Materials Recovery Facility Temporary Closure Notice
The Isabella County Materials Recovery Facility (Recycling Center), located at 4208 E. River Road, Mt. Pleasant, will be installing a new baler beginning August 17, 2026. The project includes removal of the existing baler and installation of the new equipment and is expected to be completed by August 21, 2026.
The facility will be closed on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while electrical service is temporarily shut down to complete the installation.
County-provided recycling collection services will continue as available during the project. However, if recycling containers become full, please do not leave recyclable materials on the ground. Instead, hold your materials until the containers have been serviced. Residents whose recycling service is provided by a private hauler should contact their service provider directly for any service updates.
