Bret Hyble joined the Chamber at the beginning of 2013 as President & CEO. Bret has lived in Mt. Pleasant for over 30 years. He has over 18 years of experience in the service industry as a manager and development administrator. His most recent position was Director of Development at Sacred Heart Academy and Parish, responsible for all fundraising gifts for the Parish, Academy and Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Prior to Sacred Heart, Bret was employed at Central Michigan University and involved with many aspects of athletic development including major gifts, event management and the membership based organization Chippewa Club.
Bret holds a Master's and Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University. His community and regional involvement includes Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance, volunteer work with Make-A-Wish, P-E-A-K fundraising committee, CMU Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee, Rotary, and coaching for Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation as well as Sacred Heart Academy.
Bret is married to Carol and they have two sons, Brooks and Colton. Through his work with the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce, Bret is looking forward continuing the business growth of the Chamber and enhancing an already strong community.
Barbara Cataldo, graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She majored in Marketing with minors in Advertising and Business Administration and has worked for the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce since 1998. She started at the Chamber in the position of Membership Director, and later took the position of Marketing Director. Her community involvement includes volunteering Le Tour de Mont Pleasant, Back to the Bricks, SHAGALA, and as an Art Docent for Art Reach.
Barbara is responsible for creating brochures, program materials, e-newsletter, social media and other promotional publications. In addition to graphic design, she supervises interns and special projects, such as Membership Directory and Community Guide and the Mt. Pleasant/Isabella County Map.
Event & Membership Director
Rachel Rollin joined the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce in August 2013 as the Event & Membership Director. Rachel graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Public Relations. Her most recent position was Marketing and Resource Development Assistant at McLaren Central Michigan, responsible for event planning, community outreach, community health class promotion, website and social media updates, and PR writing. Her community involvement is primarily through her church, Zion Lutheran, where she serves on the Board of Campus Ministry at Christ the King Lutheran Chapel on the campus of CMU.
Rachel is married to Ryan Rollin, who works as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She enjoys bike riding, camping and the outdoors, photography, music, and spending time with her husband, friends and family. Rachel looks forward to continuing the promotion, development and support of our membership to help foster a prosperous business environment, and to continue to strengthen our growing community.
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes their Office Manager, Jamie Pierson. Jamie obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from American Intercontinental University. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending her children's sporting events. Jamie is married to Eric Pierson Sr. who works for Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and for the City of Mt. Pleasant. They have three children, Eric II, Jasmine and Ace. As office manager Jamie is responsible for the Chamber's accounting, website and technical support.
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes their Communication Coordinator, Jill Putnam. Jill obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog Myla. Jill has three children, Anthony, AndreAnna and Alysa. As Communication Coordinator Jill is responsible for Providing customer service, phone support and front office reception to the Chamber & CVB.
