Expo
Each
fall, members of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce come
together for a one-day event to exhibit their products and services.
Business Expo is the largest single business event each
year in Mt. Pleasant, and it attracts both exhibitors and attendees
from as far away as Lansing and the tri-cities of Saginaw, Midland,
and Bay City.
Show Times:
The show runs from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. on
Wednesday, October 08, 2008 at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort
Entertainment Hall in Mt. Pleasant.

Admission Tickets:
The cost to attend the show is $5 at the door, but getting free
tickets is easy. All exhibitors distribute FREE tickets to people they
want to attend. Also, FREE tickets are available at the Chamber office
downtown. Finally, you can print your own FREE admission ticket right
off this website. Tickets are not yet created for the 2008 event.

There is no better way to “plug in” to the Mt. Pleasant area business
community than exhibiting in Business Expo. You will make important
business contacts, both business-to-business and business-to-public.
Networking is what the Chamber is all about – it just makes sense!
In an effort to reach out to nonprofit
organizations and service clubs, the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of
Commerce offers special display opportunities at Business Expo in
which small non-profit organizations may display at a greatly
reduced rate. They must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

One of the reasons for the success of the show is
the active participation of the exhibitors – it is their show. They
help to distribute thousands of admission tickets and personally
invite people to attend

2007 Celebrity Luncheon:
Presentation by Education and Training Connection
The business world can be a jungle where clients,
customers, and employees take on animal characteristics that bring
the zoo to the workplace. Learn the ways of the organizational
animal kingdom to bring some calm and order to the workforce zoo.
Participants will b taught to carefully look for talent in every
role, to focus people's performance on outcomes, and treat each
person individually based on their own unique abilities and
strengths.

2007's Grand Door Prize was a $500 Airline Voucher
compliments of Capital City Airport.
Business Expo
exhibitors generously donate
high quality gifts and door prizes as a way of saying, “Thank you,” to people for attending
the show. It is easy to enter – just sign up for them right at the
exhibitors’ booths. Last year the Grand Door Prize was a $500 Airline
Voucher compliments of Capital City Airport.
We also have a large “Silent Auction” where
members contribute major prizes (minimum of $100 up to thousands of
dollars). The Silent Auction is used as a fundraiser for the Chamber.
It is also a great way for bidders to get great deals on great prizes,
often at a fraction of the regular price, while helping the Chamber at
the same time.
Silent Auction items are available for viewing
during the entire show, with all bidding coming to a close around 6
p.m. when winners are announced.
Business After Hours (BAH)
Every month, the Chamber sponsors the most
significant business networking events in the Mt. Pleasant community.
They are called, “Business After Hours.” They give Chamber
members and their guests a chance to mix and mingle and make
important business contacts. The largest of these events each year occurs at
Business Expo. It will be from 5 – 7 p.m. located in the
Business Expo exhibit hall and everyone is welcome to
attend. Entrance fee is only $5.
Media Coverage/Show Publicity:
Since Business Expo is such a
significant business event, it always gets excellent coverage in the
media, such as the Morning Sun newspaper. Also, radio
stations broadcast live “remotes” from the show that include the top
radio personalities.
Why Attend?:
So, why should you attend? If you are
interested in business in the greater Mt. Pleasant area it is
THE
place to be on October 08th.
Not only will you get a chance to view the exhibits of more than 100
businesses and meet their representatives, attending the show is just
plain fun! Business is all about building relationships. So why
not go where the business people congregate? There is no place better
than Business Expo to do that.
